Oprah Video - Cross your fingers!

So, it is no secret that every Author, including me, wants to get on the "Big O."

Sarah shot a video for me (using her brother Jay's camera) so that I could submit it to Oprah. She's apparently planning a show about rescue dogs who changed people's life.

Moxxy changed MY life and I think a lot of people and dogs could benefit from my book, but they need to find out about it somehow.......

Best Book Title 2008

Okay, so I was using Google this morning to see if there were any new mentions of my book and found this blog called "Sex on My Desk." I was terrified at first.....but it is actually a really fun and interesting blog from the Sex and Love editor at iVillage about the things that come across her desk........just let your mind ponder that!

Anyways she liked the title and voted me best......I like being best! =-)

We Can't Stay Together for the Buffalos???

Just Kidding!

I talked to a reporter from Buffalo News....as in Buffalo, NY. I had a great time talking with her and appreciated hearing her feedback on the book. I think she is the first totally neutral person that I've talked to who has read the whole thing. VERY EXCITING!

Photo Shoot!

The reporter from DogFancy asked for a photo and I realized that I didn't have anything current of me and my dogs. Luckily, Warren and Tracey Gamley were able to arrange a shoot on short notice. Warren and Tracey have taken lots of classes at Pup-A-Razzi and have done photography sessions for us and other dog places and people around town. Warren and Tracey took TONS of photos and it was a lot of fun having them do this shoot for us. Don't we look like we hiked for hours into the woods? Don't you wonder how my hair still looks good after all that "hiking"?

The pictures turned out great!

PetCast!

I am scheduled to talk to the host of The PetCast on June 4th......which you may know is the day before my birthday, June 5th! For those of you who's iPod is not currently making a frowny face at you, check out this podcast (or you can listen online).

Satellite Radio Tour Set for 5/6/08

We've got a satellite radio tour booked for May 6th, 2008. I'll know more after I talk to the producer as we get closer to the date, but it sounds like I will be doing interviews off and on for 10-15 different radio shows from 3 am (so early!) to about 10 am.

It's So Fancy!

I did my first official interview......with DogFancy Magazine. I felt like it went well and I am looking forward to seeing the article. Hopefully it makes it into the magazine, but I know it won't be for a few months because of the long lead time that magazines have.

I will post when it appears so that you can run out and buy a copy of your own! =-)

I'm down, but not out....

It certainly is more fun to post about the successes than it is to post about the disappointments. I found out last week that due to circumstances beyond the control of my publisher or publicist, the TV tour has been canceled. So the trip to LA is off, unfortunately.

I've had a week to stew about this and I am starting to feel more positive. The satellite radio tour has been extended, which is cool and I can still hope to get TV coverage, it just means that one of those nice producers that received press kits and galleys needs to pick up the phone and call.

The best is yet to come!
